Our qualitative and quantitative tests range from simple visual conditioning and surface regularity to CBR profiling using DCP techniques, falling weight deflectometer surveying and the use of ground penetrating radar (GPR).
Our comprehensive surveys and reports provide valuable information on the condition and life expectancy of pavement constructions across the country; supporting informed decision making and making the case for remedial action to maximise the pavement life of the asset.
Accurate information on the condition of pavement assets also enables more strategic planning for future works – scheduling maintenance on a priority basis and in the form of a preventative measure, rather than a cure. Our road, runway and pavement investigation services include:
*UKAS accreditation is limited to those activities described in our UKAS Schedule of Accreditation
**Falling Weight Deflectometers (FWD) are a rapid, non-destructive method of assessing the structural integrity of roads, runways and pavements. Data from the FWD can be used to determine the stiffness of the road or pavement structure, the degree of load transfer between adjacent sections and even the presence of voids beneath the surface.
All laboratory technicians attending our sites for our demanding verification and compliance testing are professional, experienced and are fully conversant with today’s demanding health and safety standards. ANDY ROBINSON – T R STABILISATION LTD
